Broadband in Roughlee
We're desperate to get access to faster and more reliable internet in Roughlee, to give all villagers fair access to the opportunities provided by the internet, and undo the damage currently being inflicted on our village home-workers, students, tourism industry and many others.

With so much of our lives now going digital, access to decent internet speeds should be a basic right. Yet we find ourselves pleading for it - and our pleas seem to fall on deaf ears.

We've been promised Superfast Broadband since at least 2013, and most of the work to make this happen in Roughlee has already been done. From our estimates, only 300 yards of cabling remains to be completed. Yet rather than completing the job, all we hear are excuses, deflection and stonewalling as to why it can't be completed quickly.

We're keen to make this a higher priority for those deciding on the project timescales. As a first step, we want to get an accurate picture of the current state of internet access in Roughlee, as well as the damage that this is inflicting on our community. Please complete the form below and encourage your friends and neighbours to do so as well.

We're then meeting up on Tuesday 10th October, 7.30pm at Roughlee Village Centre to review results and decide on our next steps to make some progress happen and CONNECT ROUGHLEE!
