Time to plan your spooky scarecrows!

Get your scarecrows up by 10am, judging at 11.30am
This year Roughlee Village Centre is closed due to Covid-19 but we hope to see plenty of spooky scarecrows around the village to cheer us all up.
Prizes for Best Area plus Overall Winner. If you don’t live on the route, scarecrows can be placed at bus stops, benches or railings. If you’re in need of some inspiration, take a look at photos from previous years at https://www.roughlee.org.uk/gallery/
The Bay Horse are sponsoring the competition and offering the following prizes:
- Best Single display – £20 voucher
- Best Area display – £100 voucher
- Roughlee Old Hall (Stang Top Rd – Old Hall Farm)
- Pasture Lane (RVC – Wood Close – Fishing Lodge)
- Judson Fold

- Happy Valley & Thorneyholme
The winners will be announced at 5pm on the day and posted on the village website and on the Facebook group.
Please remember to enjoy this event safely – please keep 2m apart at all times, no more than 6 people and ideally wear a mask!
Bay Horse Inn
After careful consideration, the Bay Horse Inn have decided to reopen on Saturday 31st, just in time for Halloween in the village.
Even though the latest Tier 3 restrictions mean that people cannot just pop in for a drink (alcoholic at least), they have been hard at work making changes to the menu and planning more offers that will be too tempting to turn down!
