Roughlee Parish Council warmly invite you to join us for the Roughlee Parish Gathering 2019. The programme is designed to be entertaining and interesting, with wine and snacks and giving the opportunity to hear guest speakers and for an informal chat about village issues.

Please join us for a lively evening of discussion and entertainment, including:

PENDLE RADICALS & THE CLARION CHOIR:A special talk about the Radical innovators, free-thinkers, social reformers and mavericks that were from, or drawn to, Pendle Hill’s inspirational landscape. Clarion Choir is currently singing about the Songs of a Factory Girl: inspirational writer, pacifist and suffragist Ethel Carnie. Come and hear all about it.

OUR MAYOR’S YEAR: Recently-retired James Starkie shares highlights and memories as Mayor and longstanding Borough Councillor.

PENDLE HILL LANDSCAPE PARTNERSHIP: Hear the latest developments including summit progress and footpath upgrades in Roughlee.

WHERE WILD THINGS LIVE: Unveiling the results of our major village project to celebrate and protect local habitats and wildlife.

FARMING & LEISURE: Hear from Mark Hartley about opportunities and challenges for our local farming and leisure businesses.

THE BAY HORSE: Chris Swarbrick looks back on this last year of growth and development for our popular village pub, as well as sharing what comes next.
